Bridesmaid Dresses Shopping with SGShop

As part of Chinese wedding traditional ceremony, bride has a few bridesmaids to help her out on her big day. Same goes with my wedding planning. I am very happy to get my secondary school’s best friend, Qiao and cousin, Iris to help me out.

What are Bridesmaids’ tasks?

  • Taking care of bride’s personal belongings.
  • Help to carry family heirloom tea set
  • Help bride to change into different gowns
  • Monitor the wedding ceremony flow and itinerary
  • Checking the overall arrangement of bride’s big days
  • Handling any unforeseen circumstances on wedding day (Example: getting guests to take photos)

 

Yes, there are many tasks need to be taken care off on wedding day. Therefore, it is a courtesy for bride to buy  bridesmaids’ dresses and fashion accessory. I do wish to go shopping with them. However, Qiao is working in different countries. She fly back just to help me out on my big day. PS: A big thanks to Qiao. We can’t go shopping any shopping malls.

Thanks to internet and e-commerce, it solved our problems quite easily. Qiao, Iris and I were shopping online to discuss the right bridesmaid dress. We often need to wait for Qiao’s replies because she worked in different time zone.

Ikea Damansara Gateway 1 Day Itinerary

IKEA Damansara is the largest IKEA store in Asia. What is IKEA? IKEA is a Scandinavian home furniture store. Most of the furnitures at IKEA are required buyers to Do it Yourself(DIY). There come the next question. Is it cheap? In my opinion, it is you pay what you get. While, for Mr. Ang, IKEA DIY items are “LEGO” for him. He just enjoys doing all the furniture building and home layout planning. (PS: that is why I married an engineer).

My family members were quite shock that Mr. Ang and I were going to spend our golden weekend at IKEA Damansara. We spent 2 days at IKEA Damansara just to do home furnishing shopping. It was great fun for us. We got to try out some good food around Damansara and Petaling Jaya. I listed the itinerary and the spending as below.

Smart saver will compare the product price before making any decision. Mr. Ang and I are very good at remember the product price.

The climax of the sale is around 12am on 12 December 2015 . Phew. Luckily, it fall on a Saturday. That mean I no need to wake up early on the next day of my online shopping.

3) Improve Couple Communication

This few days, we just research on each product price, advantages, feature and value. It is great to have a common topic within couple. It help to save our wallet from burning a hole. It definitely tighten our relationship too.  Example of our conversation

Ler: Laogong. What do you think about this TV

Mr. Ang: Let me check the feature….. It seem great. How much is it?

Ler: It stated here RM9xx. The normal prize is RM12xx.

Mr. Ang: That mean can save around RM3xx. ( Mr. Ang calculate faster than me)

Ler: Yup

Mr. Ang: Put that in the shopping cart. Let see weather it will have further discount

Ler: Copy that.
