Chinese New Year (CNY) 2020 will be here in a month’s time.  This year will be the Rat year. SDS  has introduced a smorgasbord of treats from cookies, hamper to cafe feast.

SDS retails have introduced a Piggybank Cookies Tin with Cai Shen and Mouse Design this year 2020. This limited edition piggybank is collectible with the purchase of "Almond Flakes" or "Almond and Seed Crisp".

“Mouse is the first animal of the Chinese Zodiac. CNY also represents the start of a whole new year. Therefore, we launch this mouse design piggy tin for Chinese New Year cookies to signify the start of a prosperous year ahead.” Ms. Liao added.

HAMPERS

SDS has designed 8 festive hampers and 1 gift set, ranging from RM68 to RM588, which focus mainly on cookies that symbolize good fortune and blessings.

SDS provides hamper delivery service within Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore for the convenience of festive gift-giving. Interested customers can visit the SDS outlet to purchase or log on to SDS official website. Hamper ordering and delivery services will be available from 28 December 2019 to 20 January 2020.

Complimentary limited edition SDS A-LI and A-XIANG red packet will be given with the purchase of hamper or cookies.

CAFE CNY DISHES

Available at RM58.80++, the mini steamboat consists of prawn, mussel, gyoza, meatball, mixed mushroom, assorted vegetable, egg, and udon. It is served with the auspicious beverage, “Pot of Golden Treasure”, an iced passion orange jasmine tea for 2 persons. Customers may choose to add on white rice to complete the prosperity feast too.  The CNY cafe meal will be available at SDS Cafe from 1 Jan 2020 to 8 Feb 2020.

Finally, it is baby Chen’s full month celebration. After the family discussion, we decide to celebrate Chen’s full month celebration and mother day together. I am very grateful to have many mothers to help me out with my new borns.

  1. Mother helps me to buy lot of tonic drinks and baby clothes
  2. Mother in law helps me to take care baby Chen.
  3. Mothers in The Breastfeeding Advocates Network solve my nursing doubts.
  4. SDS Bakery and Cafe has different full month packages and mother day cakes.
  5. Mothers friends help me out with daily problems.
  6. Nannies at Sharan confinement center help to take care of us.
We selected the classic package. It consisted walnut butter cake, 2 red boiled eggs, 2 Ang Ku Kuih and 3 cup cakes. The simple box design and arrangement of cake in it are very presentable.

We choose Matcha Ke-Ki as our early mother day cake. Green tea or matcha is one of the top 10 healthiest food in the world. The cake is topped with fresh fruits. For instance, strawberries, blueberries. As it is not too sweet, the cake is widely received by elder family members.
