7:00 am packing for the trip

9:00 am breakfast at Tea Garden

10:00 am depart to Melaka

12:00 noon we use Jasin Exit 233 since Ayer Keroh Exit has massive congestion.

1:30 pm Reach Wok and Pan Cafe for a great western Lunch.

2:15 pm We are debating weather to visit the prison museum. I wish to  explore the prison. Mr. Ang is concerned that kids might get negative effect after visiting the museum. The museum is famous with canning demonstration.

3:00 pm Reach Ibis Melaka and checked in. This time, we get Room  302 with a big window facing Jalan Bendehara. A nice sunny room.

4:15 pm We depart to Encore Melaka.

4:50 pm We park our car at the Encore Melaka car park. The parking fee is RM5 per entry. we buy 2 adults tickets and 1 kid ticket, which is around RM204.

5:20 pm No food and drinks are allowed in the hall. We get a good seating which is Zone B Row O.

6:40 pm The show completed. I really enjoy the show. My 2 kids are watching the show quietly throughout the show. Their behaviour is so much better when watching YouTube or Netflix together.

7:30 pm Dinner at UES Siew Tin Nyonya Kitchen. We tried their recommended Gula Melaka Chicken Wing. Unfortunately it is too sweet for us. The Chap Chai and Pai Tee are better dishes.

9:30 pm Reach hotel and rest.

10 Aug 2024 (Sat)

7:00 am Morning walk around the Melaka Hill

8:00 am We walk back to hotel for breakfast.

8:30 am Most of the food in restaurant are finish. The refill are slow.

9:15 am We went for a swim

10:45 am Go back room to clean up.

12:00 noon Check out. We walk to Museum of Royal Malaysian Marine.

1:30 pm I bring the kids to Dataran Pahlawan for lunch. Mr. Ang walk back hotel to pick up the car.

2:45 pm Mr. Ang still cant find car park. I take away the food. We walk a long distance to the parked car.

4:00 pm Check in The Philea Resort.

4:30 pm Nap time for everyone

6:45 pm Light dinner in the room with all the take away food.  Too tired.

8:00 pm We take a buggy car to lobby to refill water. This year, The resort has a small play house at the snoker table area. Kids have some fun.

9:30 pm rest time

8:15 am breakfast time

9:05 am swimming time

10:10 am wash up and pack up

11:00 am We called for a buggy car. Due to heavy rain, we need to wait for buggy car.

11:30 am Check out.

12:00 noon Visit Giant Bee Museum. Initially, we want to visit museum orang asli and bird park. However, both are closed down. Due to heavy rain, we cant visit insect park or Zoo Melaka.

12:30 noon Lunch at Mary Brown restaurant

2:00 pm depart to Johor Bahru

5:45pm dinner around Impian Emas

7:30pm Reach home and rest

Reflection

  • You must watch Encore Melaka to experience Melaka history
  • We really enjoy Pan & Wok Cafe food. This is the second time we went.
  • I still prefer Baba Ang’s nyonya food.
  • Big holiday, massive jam

Reflection

  • Iblis Melaka has a very good location, near Jonker Street and other tourist areas.
  • The Philea Resort breakfast has very limited choices
  • 1 dish of food on Jonker street mostly costs RM10. Not really to my flavour
  • Kids just enjoy all the swimming pool they went.
  • The Philea Resort is a great place for family and kids.

2 Days 1 Night Malacca Itinerary 2015

Mr. Ang and LerLer are impromptu travelers. We just hop on the car and drive to Melacca during Hari Raya public holiday. Hari Raya holiday is a very big festival in Malaysia. Melacca is one of the UNESCO heritage location in Malaysia. During our 2 days trip, the crowd is imaginable large. I would like to use a Chinese proverb to describe the scene. People mountain people sea. We don’t really do any research before hand. I just occasionally ask the local on food and accommodation. Thus, our simple 2 days 1 night Melacca Itinerary is as below.
