Macherie Johor Bloggers are invited to try out Bushido Shabu Shabu at Taman Pelangi, Johor Bahru. It is located behind of Leisure Mall. The restaurant located at the corner of Jalan Kuning and Jalan Serampang. It has a very strategic location.
Appetizers are serviced before the meal. I prefer the cucumber and seeweed appetizer as it is very crunchy. Mr. Ang prefers the preserved appetizer as it is a bit spicy.
The presentation of sashimi salad is slightly different from Japanese restaurant.. It is a fusion of Thai sauce and Japanese cuisine. Alfafa create a special fragrant. Sashimi need not to eat with wasabi as the Thai sauce is spicy. It is a very refreshing dish.
We have the chance to try 6 most popular soup of the restaurant. Bushido Shabu Shabu focus on the healthy diet.
- Their soup based are made out of 2 essential soup base. There are fruit based soup and Katsuobushi soup based
- Enzyme is added to the soup
Next, come the best soup of the day: Bushido Grains Mocha Milk Broth. This soup has three great points.
- Prevent aging
- Prevent cancer
- High in calcium
Grains and mocha content 47 kinds of natural and healthy cereals. It is known as the “perfect food” that can prevent high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, cardiovascular diseases and other diseases too. It is considered as Japan’s Okinawa generations’ longevity formula.
Mr. Ang and me really enjoy this soup based. At the end of the meal, we two just focus on drinking this soup. The fragrant and mocha and milk is the key point attracted me the most.
Buckwheat is a plant cultivated for its grain-like seeds and also used as a cover crop. Buckwheat is considered as one of the healthiest food on the world’s healthiest food organisation. A research shows that buckwheat intake was associated with lower total serum cholesterol, lower low-density lipoproterin cholesterol (LDL, the form linked to cardiovascular disease) and a high ratio of HDL (health-promoting cholesteril) to total cholesterol.
The restaurant chef mixed the buckwheat with miso broth to create another uniqueness. As buckwheat is a type of grain, the soup has a very powdery texture. I prefer to boil vegetable in this soup based.
A variety of vegetables for our steam boat.
The restaurant served some side dishes too.
The meat and vegetable is well marinated. The gyoza skin is fried till golden brown and crispy. It is best eating it using a spoon. Meat juice will flow out from the gyoza
While waiting for our steamboat to be ready, this dish is a very good starter. Mr. Bin can have some food to munch first.
Soba is made out of buckwheat. Soba has a softer texture than spaghetti. The salon teppanyaki complimented the soba noodle well. In the end, we girls finish this dish in a few minutes too.
There are a variety of sauces to compliment the steamboat. From the left: sour & spicy sauce, green chili padi, sashimi shoyu, wasabi, goma miso sauve, barbeque sauce, sweet & spicy sauce and special spicy sauce.
