How My Qimen Teacher Solved a Real-Life Permit Issue
As a working mum and caregiver to aging parents, finding time and energy to pursue my interest in Qimen Dunjia was always a challenge. Thankfully, my teacher， Edison Yong offers his lessons online via Zoom, making it possible for people like me—who cannot travel—to learn from home. I attended all three levels of his course: basic, intermediate, and advanced. His teaching style is practical, structured, and deeply insightful. Mr. Edison Yong began his metaphysics journey as a Zi Wei Dou Shu practitioner before diving into Qimen Dunjia in 2014. After three years of dedicated practice and refinement, he started teaching Qimen in 2017. His strong foundation in Zi Wei Dou Shu gives him a unique perspective when interpreting Qimen charts, often blending both systems to provide deeper insights. His years of experience and structured approach make his lessons not only informative but also practical and easy to follow, even for beginners like me.
A Real-Life Case That Showed Qimen’s Power
One of the most impressive lessons was when the teacher demonstrated how Qimen Dunjia could be applied to a real-world problem. Our team had been trying to get an activity permit from the local education bureau since April. Despite sending six emails and making five phone calls, we received no clear response—only vague promises that someone would get back to us. During the lesson, the teacher used Qimen to analyze the situation. He identified 景门 (Scenery Door) as the key indicator and noted that the 值符 (Chief Deity) represented the education bureau, while 休门 (Rest Door) suggested laziness and delay. He advised us to use 景门 for layout strategy. After applying his guidance, we received the permit just five days later. It was a powerful moment that showed how metaphysics can offer practical solutions to bureaucratic challenges.
2025 has been one of the hardest years of my life. Juggling work, caring for my aging parents, and facing my own mental health struggles left me feeling drained and directionless. There were days I questioned everything—my choices, my strength, even my future. In the midst of all this, learning Qimen Dunjia became more than just a study—it became a lifeline. I turned to Qimen not only to understand situations but to find clarity and peace. My teacher’s wisdom, patience, and practical guidance gave me the courage to keep going. Even when I forgot my lessons or felt too overwhelmed to focus, he never gave up on me. His teachings helped me see that even in chaos, there is a way forward. Qimen became my compass, and my teacher—my steady guide.
As I continue navigating the challenges of 2025, I carry with me the strength and clarity that Qimen Dunjia has given me. My teacher’s wisdom, patience, and practical guidance have been a true blessing during this difficult time. He always reminds us that learning Qimen is just the beginning—real growth comes through consistent practice. Inspired by his encouragement, I’ve decided to keep practicing and offer chart reading services at a small fee through my Shopee shop. As a beginner, my charges are fairly reasonable, and my goal is to help others find clarity in their own lives, just as I did.
