Galloping into the Year of the Horse with LEGOLAND® Malaysia Resort

This Lunar New Year, LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort is welcoming families with a vibrant, brick-built celebration themed “Garden of Prosperity”, running from 22 January to 22 February 2026. And since this year is the Fire Horse Year, the entire Resort feels even more symbolic and meaningful — especially for families who love a mix of tradition, creativity, and hands-on fun.

We visited recently, and here’s what our family experienced!

🐎 A Majestic Welcome: The 2.4m LEGO® Horse

The moment we stepped into the entrance area, the massive 2.4‑metre LEGO® Horse instantly caught our attention. My kids ran toward it with excitement, and I must admit — even I paused to admire it.

The horse is beautifully white, which immediately reminded me of the Metal element in the Five Elements (五行). Since this year is the Fire Horse Year, seeing a Metal White Horse gave me a quiet moment of personal reflection.
I secretly wished for more prosperity and financial stability this year — something the auspicious scroll the horse carries seems to bless guests with.

Inspired by the LEGO 40779 Year of the Horse Chinese Zodiac Limited Edition set, this centerpiece truly feels like the spiritual and visual heart of the celebration.

🌸 “Garden of Prosperity” — Tradition Meets Play

The Resort has transformed into a festive playground adorned with:
✨ Red lanterns
✨ Blooming cherry blossoms
✨ Immersive LEGO® creations
✨ Festive tunes and cultural accents

Everything feels lively and photo-worthy — a perfect way to blend cultural tradition with the playful world of LEGO.

🧧 Hands-On Fun: Build, Play, Prosper!

The highlight for my kids? Definitely the four festive booths where they could complete activities using the redemption/activity card.

Their favourite station: Fortune Tree Building

Both boys were super focused and extremely proud of the LEGO orange tree they built. It’s simple, hands-on, but very meaningful — they got to “stack” prosperity and happiness for the year.

We didn’t manage to complete all the tasks on the redemption card due to time, but honestly, the kids were already so happy with what they experienced that they didn’t even mind.

Other activities around the park include:

  • Build-A-Horse
  • LEGO Orange Tree Making
  • LEGO Chinese Calligraphy Mural
  • Minifigure Trading
  • LEGO Horse Post & Win

All are designed to let kids build their luck — brick by brick.

🧧 A Surprise Highlight: Red Packet Making at SEA LIFE

One unexpected surprise for us was inside SEA LIFE Malaysia — the red packet making station with the cute greeting “Gong SEA Fa Cai”.

Although the activity was simple, my kids loved it. There is something special about letting children create their own angpao — it’s hands-on, meaningful, and a wonderful way to connect with the tradition.

This station truly made our visit feel more complete.

🐉 Spring Festival Spectacular (17–22 February 2026)

If you’re visiting during this peak festive window, you’ll get to enjoy a full lineup of cultural performances, including:

  • Lion Dance Blessings & Acrobatic High Pole Performances
  • Dragon Dance Performances
  • Stilts Walker Acrobatic Acts
  • Oriental Live Music Performances
  • Chinese Face-Changing Acts
  • Ancient Drum Shows

Daily shows also run throughout the entire celebration:

  • Brick of Prosperity (Opening Show)
  • Lunar Beats Spectacular
  • Finale of Fortune (Farewell Show)

LEGOLAND has done a wonderful job making each performance colourful, interactive, and family-friendly.

🎁 Fortune Fest: A Chance to Win LEGO Sets

From 17–22 February 2026, guests who spend RM188 or more at participating retail or F&B outlets get a chance to win LEGO sets worth up to RM800, with total prizes valued at RM10,000.

🎟️ Festive Offers for Day Tickets & Annual Passes

🌟 Final Thoughts

Our trip to LEGOLAND Malaysia’s Garden of Prosperity was a beautiful blend of culture, creativity and hands-on fun. From the majestic LEGO Horse to the engaging booth activities and surprise angpao-making session at SEA LIFE, the entire celebration felt meaningful for both adults and children.

If you’re looking for a family-friendly way to welcome the Year of the Horse — filled with LEGO magic, cultural traditions, and joyful bonding moments — this festive celebration is worth the visit.
