February 13, 2017 | LerLer Chan | 2 Comments 9 February 2017 When I first vBurgCafe post on theIskandarian and ynz214 blog, I am very happy. Finally, I can choose vegetarian bakery for my diet. When I was pregnant around 5 weeks, I had a very bad cough. I visited Chinese traditional medical practitioner and was instructed not to consume chicken and egg. After I stop eating chicken and egg, my cough reduced and gone. Since then, I consume more vegetarian meal. That why I am very happy when vBurgCafe is here. Mr. Sean Tan is the founder of this cafe. He is a vegetarian since young. His passion is baking. Thus, he has visited many countries to learn different baking methods. To add on, vBurgCafe’s bakery is divided into 3 different categories: Ovo-Lacto vegetarian 蛋奶素 – contain egg and dairy products Lacto-vegetarian 奶素 – contained dairy products Vegan 全素 – exclude egg and dairy products. I love this categories concept. I can easily choose bread for my lactose intolerance dad. While I can enjoy Lacto vegetarian bread without suffering any allergic effect. Broccoli baguette RM4.80 Mok Mama choose this dish. The reason is broccoli captured her attention. She seldom see broccoli on top of baguette. I prefer the vegetable spread on top of this bread. The combination of pesto, cashew nut, parsley, broccoli and olive oil produced a super healthy spread. Pumpkin soup with rye bread RM12.90 A warm milky pumpkin soup with rye bread is very filling. rye bread is made of german black wheat. the texture is very hard and take sometime to chew. Every spoonful of pumpkin soup can taste the pumpkin sweetness. The chef emphasis on good and quality ingredients for all his menu. Otah croissant RM3.60 Otah croissant is the most popular dish in the cafe. Otah spices are mixed with tofu to create smooth and spicy texture. I am very surprised that the otah cream on the top of croissant is cold. However, the otah inside the croissant is hot. Theses hot and cold combination create a different sensation in diner’s mouth. Before we leave the shop, the chef is experimenting new dishes. That is vegetarian burger. It will be launched soon(18 February 2017). Hopefully, I can try it on the next visit.
